All of our gathering spaces at Song of the Morning are designed for those seeking soul inspiration. The vibrations of sincere seekers and meditators permeate the temple spaces and guest rooms. The dining hall is imbued with decades of satsang and fellowship. Our accommodations are nestled in the woods. Rooms are simple and comfortable, allowing guests to make the most out of their retreat experience without the distractions of our modern world. Scroll this page to tour our buildings and rooms.

The Boathouse

These two stunning suite-style rooms are brand new accommodations situated in the bottom story of our Boathouse. They feature picturesque views of the river meadow with ample windows for natural light, a full or queen size bed, sitting area, separate mudroom, and a gorgeous tiled private bathroom. The suites adjoin to a semi-private full kitchen, dining table, and sitting area looking out to the river which is shared with the other Boathouse room. Doors to the kitchen area lock to ensure privacy in your own living quarters.

    Full bed, private bathroom with shower, and access to kitchen and dining area shared with Suite Two. This room is ADA accessible.

The Lodge

Our historic Lodge has been Song of the Morning’s temple. For over fifty years devotees have gathered in the evenings to meditate together. The Lodge has four private rooms (see details below) with a communal meditation space and reading nook. Guests also have access to a communal kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave, tea and coffee supplies, and dishware. Sitting up a forested hill, the Lodge is perfect for those wanting more privacy and offers easy access to trails and inspiring river views.

Note: Lodge main room hosts nightly 8 p.m. meditations and 11 a.m. Sunday Services. Guests who choose to book in the Lodge are encouraged to participate in main room events.

  • Queen, Room One

    Queen bed, full bath (shared with Queen Room Two), and access to kitchenette & meditation area.

  • Queen, Room Two

    Queen bed, full bath (shared with Queen Room One), and access to kitchenette & meditation area.

  • Full Suite

    Two full beds, private bathroom, sitting area and access to kitchenette, reading nook & meditation area.

  • Queen Suite

    Queen bed, private bathroom, private sitting area with a daybed that can be set up for an additional guest, and access to kitchenette, reading nook & meditation area.

The Wheelhouse features an upper floor for yoga classes with expansive views of the river valley and sunset skies. Downstairs is a modest yet comfortable apartment available for guests to rent with a full kitchen, dining area, full bathroom and futon. The bedroom is fully furnished with a queen size bed and sitting area. Experience quiet moments with great wildlife viewing and all the comforts of home.

Wheelhouse Apartment

North Apartment

This quaint apartment is nestled among the trees, tucked away at the end of our main building. Private bathroom, full-size bedroom with desk and sitting area, a kitchenette with mini-fridge, stove, tea and coffee supplies, and a dining table.

The Domes

Comprising three 40-foot bio-dome structures with skylights with a central meeting space that accommodates yoga and other group events. The Domes are a unique attribute to our grounds that harken to the seventies era - at one point, they were covered in gold glitter! The Domes are ideal for those on a budget or wanting a communal experience featuring two large shared bathrooms, dormitory style bunk beds and 8 small private rooms.

Note: The Domes does not have a full kitchen, but does have a microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, and everything you need to make coffee and tea. The center Dome is available when programs are not taking place for personal meditation and hatha yoga.

Domes Room Options

  • Private Rooms

    A simple private room with a options for twin, full and queen bed, with access to a shared bathroom. Some rooms have private patios. Not insulated against sounds.

  • Dormitory (Gendered)

    40 foot dome with bunk beds and skylights, with a center partition separating Women’s and Men’s dormitories. Communal bathroom facilities. This is our lowest cost indoor accommodations. Please bring your own linens – bed sheets, pillowcase, and towel.

Glamping Cabin

Experience the quiet woods as if you were camping but with some luxuries of indoor lodging – also known as “Glamping”. This completely private cabin has a cozy full-size bed and easy access to showers and camper bathrooms. There is no electricity, heat, or running water in the cabin. Parking is 30 feet from the cabin.

Woodland Campsites

Enjoy the beautiful Pigeon River Forest in the rustic environment of the outdoors. With the spiritual energy of the land, fresh air, and starry nights like nowhere else, camping here is a must for nature lovers. Campers have access to our Camper Bathrooms outside the Main House and in our Shower House near the garden.

Our All-Inclusive Retreat Accommodations Include:

  • Vegetarian Meals

    Homemade vegetarian meals prepared by our staff are included with your Lodging package. Most weeks we serve Brunch and Dinner Wednesday through Saturday, and a large Sunday Dinner.

  • Meditation and Yoga

    We offer different program offerings each weekend and week, which you can find on our Come On Retreat page. Year-round guests can join our meditations Tuesday through Saturday, our Sunday Service, and our Saturday Hatha Yoga class.

  • Beautiful & Pristine Land

    Nature is sacred to us and our forest sanctuary has a healing, rejuvenating presence. Retreat guests can walk our Shrine Trails and enjoy God in Nature on our 800 acres graced by the Pigeon River.
